LapTrade Pro runs a laptop and computer trading business from purchase to profit. Every laptop is tracked by serial number and grade, and carries its own cost build-up: purchase cost, battery replacement, charger and other costs such as freight and clearing add up to a true total cost per unit. Each laptop has a proposed minimum sales price and a list price, with the profit margin shown at both. Sales staff see prices only, never cost or margin, and selling below the minimum price is blocked unless someone with override rights approves it.
Purchases record the supplier, invoice and every laptop in it, with VAT entered per laptop (new in v1.3) and kept as recoverable input VAT, out of the laptop cost. Receiving a purchase puts the stock on the shelf and posts it to the ledger. Sales run proforma (which reserves the stock) to invoice to receipt, with part payments, deposits and WHT deducted by the customer, and documents print with the brand’s logo, the amount in words and the bank accounts to pay into. A serial and theft check, and KYC on walk-in sellers, keep stolen devices out of stock.
Underneath is a double-entry finance suite with a 6-digit chart of accounts. Money moves through several bank, POS and cash accounts, none of which can ever be overdrawn on any day. Payment vouchers go maker to checker to approver, and payments to a supplier can never exceed what is owed. Reports cover profit or loss, financial position, cash flows, receivables and payables ageing, inventory valuation reconciled to the ledger, device pricing and margin, VAT return, WHT schedule and CIT computation, alongside a report builder with charts and a tax and compliance calendar.
